Myrthe Kuipers

Myrthe Kuipers is a PhD candidate in Marketing at the University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. She is co-founder of the AFIP (Atrial Fibrillation Innovation Platform) Foundation, an initiative that empowers people living with atrial fibrillation to take an active role in their health by collaborating with researchers, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to develop AF solutions. After working in the field of digital communication for more than six years, she now investigates how online communication can strengthen collaboration between people with lived experience, family members, and healthcare professionals. She is also leading the development of MyAfib, a platform designed to enable individuals and families affected by atrial fibrillation to share experiences, support self-management, and contribute to research through citizen science.
